Our Story
In 2013, a small group of Muslim men came together with one vision: to establish a place where the name of Allah would be remembered
What began as a dream became the Bassonia Musalla on land secured in 2017
Over the years, the community continued growing - children learning Qur’an, families gathering for Salah, ladies meeting for programmes and hearts becoming attached to the house of Allah
Today, after years of effort, rezoning has been completed and we now stand at the threshold of building a permanent and multifaceted masjid for future generations
Alhamdulillah, a significant milestone has been achieved. The required Bulk Services contribution to the municipality has been settled, and the consolidation of our properties at 4 Meerkat Avenue and 24 Alwyn Avenue has been formally submitted. Upon confirmation of the consolidation, the masjid plans will proceed to the municipal approval stage. We make du'ā for a smooth and expeditious process as we move closer to making this vision a reality.
